Get started in four steps

  1. Upload the contents of the www folder to the hosting root
  2. Open /admin and create the first account
  3. Set the site identity and create the first page
  4. Download a backup before the first update

Requirements

  • PHP 8.2 or newer
  • Apache with URL rewriting
  • Write access to content, uploads and backups
  • HTTPS in production

  • The administrator account and its address
Personal project, deliberate scope

Aries targets showcase sites managed by one person. Not shops or complex portals.

Common questions

Where are pages stored?

In content/pages as JSON files. Images remain in uploads.

How is Aries updated?

From Maintenance, using a verified ZIP archive. Re-authentication and a backup are required before the operation.

Is the project finished?

No. RC20 remains an unsigned stabilisation build. External security, accessibility and support conditions still need validation before commercial release.
