Documentation / Practical guide
Navigation and languages
Connect pages and translate journeys.
Organise the menu
In Structure, choose visible pages, labels and subpages. A page can remain published without appearing in the main menu. This site groups Layouts, Media and Behind the scenes under Workshop; guides are linked from Documentation.
Add a real translation
Enable the language, then open the corresponding content variant. Translate its title, public URL, blocks, SEO and post excerpt. Also translate menus, footer, identity, form and consent copy. The switcher only offers page variants that are available.
Change a URL carefully
The public URL and internal identifier have different roles. Change URLs through content settings and check the resulting redirect. Test internal links and menus; Site quality helps locate missing destinations.
Expected result
FR / EN should lead to the translated equivalent, not always the homepage. At small widths, navigation keeps the same subpages. If a variant is missing, finish its translation before announcing it.
